DAY 49-63:

Hi guys! It's me again and I'm back in my groove and back to my normal routine! It was tough to stay motivated through the holidays but I made it through and I started Orange Theory to keep myself active because I felt myself not pushing myself as much as I should. I signed up for Orange Theory twice a week and also still going to the gym so it is a new combination of cardio and strength training. The coaches push me to give it my all and I need all the motivation I can get during the holiday season. I usually dread the class but once it is over I feel so accomplished and productive the rest of the day. The cool thing about Orange Theory is that if your heart rate hits a certain range for twelve minutes you continue to lose calories for 24 hours after the workout. Knowing this, it helps me eat healthy too because I do not want to eat what I just lost. I also love that it forces me to run and get my cardio in because I usually hate to run. Incorporating both cardiovascular and strength training exercises into your workout routine can be an effective way to lose fat. Cardio exercises, such as running or cycling, help to burn calories and increase heart rate, while strength training helps to build muscle mass and boost metabolism. Together, these types of exercises can lead to a healthier and more toned body.

With the holidays I haven't felt as secluded anymore also. I've still been able to hang out with friends and be on my routine. I've learned it's all about balance and the only way to make it sustainable is to mix things up a bit and to make sure to stay more on the routine rather than fall off. At my 5th Tshock session, I am 3 inches down and 5% body fat down! The weight on the scale has not changed too much but my priority is to lose fat so I am very excited. I feel so much more confident in my clothes, at the gym, and in pictures! Regular exercise and a balanced diet have improved my health and well-being by reducing stress and boosting my mood with endorphins. With adding cryotherapy and the infrared sauna in the mix I feel like a new person when I leave the spa. I also believe cryotherapy and the sauna have been helping my immune system too! During these cold months, it feels like everyone has been sick and I have stayed very healthy so far! Cryotherapy helps increase the production of white blood cells, which help fight off infections to keep you healthy. The infrared sauna, on the other hand, can help improve circulation and also stimulate the production of white blood cells to strengthen the immune system and overall well-being. The infrared sauna also helps with detoxification and the heat generated helps you sweat and eliminate the toxins in your body.
