DAY 35-42:

Today is a few days before my fourth session.

The past few days have been a struggle to get to the gym, I won't lie but today I decided to get outside and soak up some sunshine during my workout to help get out of my funk. With working full time I understand how hard it is to get to the gym when it is still dark the moment you wake up and dark when you get off work, but you feel so much better fighting the urge to sit on the couch and being active. Then with the winter months its harder to motivate myself to go outside because it is so cold. One thing that has been helping me with bracing the cold is doing cryotherapy everyday. I think it is building up my tolerance because I find myself not as cold as those around me when I am walking around.

This week in particular the gym did not sound like a good time to me. I skipped two days to catch up on some rest and let my muscles recover, but I have a rule for myself that I can never skip three days in a row. So today I went on a 5 mile hike on a new trail I've never been on and it felt so good. My favorite kind of exercise is outdoors in nature soaking up natural vitamin D. It helps clear my mind, works up a sweat, and helps me feel very accomplished once I finish a changing trail. The views are always worth it too! It feels good to mix up my workout routine and do something different besides the gym and HOTWORX.

Another struggle I have faced during this 120 transformation is feeling lonely and secluded from friends but I am learning that reaching my goals are worth it. I've had to turn down hanging with my friends a few different times because I know it would knock me off my routine and be more difficult to either wake up early and still get my workout in or just staying on track with my diet, but I would rather reach my goals rather than party with friends. I am looking to improve my life long term rather than have short term fun. All of the benefits I am feeling with being consistent outweigh feeling a little lonely for a night.

Just to name a few of the benefits, my self confidence is so much better, more energy, excellent sleep, and overall mood has been very happy. I am grateful to be as healthy as I am and I want to be as healthy as I can even when I grow older. I still have a few days until my next T-shock session and I am looking forward to the cryo and sauna afterwards. I think I am becoming addicted to cryotherapy and the infrared sauna because of how much better I feel afterwards. Before I started this progress I had really bad back pain from sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day at work, but since doing cryotherapy I feel no more pain anymore! Cryotherapy is helping reduce inflammation that causes back pain and it has been helping me so much. Cryo and the sauna have been helping me with my muscle soreness too! I would be struggling going to the gym as much as I do without it because my body has been so sore but after each session of doing cryo and the sauna I feel like a new person and refreshed to workout more!

Here's to another week and more goals hit! Cheers!
